What’s your name, and what do you do at PerfectDraft?

Hi, I’m Joe - I'm the curator of kegs here at PerfectDraft.  I've recently taken on the role and really excited to have launched Hertog Jan Grand Pilsener - I LOVE it!

We hear the cries for more IPA/pales from the community, and have 2 new releases lined up in the next couple of months - one of which is a PerfectDraft exclusive that we're pretty excited about.

What was your last PerfectDraft pint?

Spaten - Enjoyed with family in the garden last weekend whilst my son threw himself down his slide into the paddling pool, which now seems to be filled with more grass than water. Spaten is my go-to lager on the machine and is a real crowd pleaser with my group of mates - we're also chomping at the bit for the Oktoberfest edition later in a few months time.

What's your dream beer on PerfectDraft?

In 2020 I went to Amsterdam with some friends - the week before I started working here at PerfectDraft actually - and we found a bottle shop with an outstanding selection of beers (called Bierbaum). They had a beer called Cuvee Clarisse Whisky Infused by Brouwerij Wilderen and it was just incredible. We bought a 750ml bottle on the first day, and on the second day, we went back and bought four more bottles!! It’s a 10.2% strong Ruby red infused with Wild Weasel Whisky. All I can say is... Seek. It. Out.

What's your favourite food to have with beer?

I'm torn here, it's either crisps or a curry. There's just something about sitting down with a curry and a lager, but then with my complete lack of self-control, I will inevitably be way too full to enjoy the rest of my pint or what remains of my evening, so maybe I have to go crisps. You know when you sit down in the late afternoon before you've had your tea (yes, tea) and you have some crisps to see you through whilst you enjoy a beer. what flavour? (without a moment of hesitation): Sweet Chilli Sensations!
