Introducing: Leffe Blanche

Leffe Blanche - What to expect

Leffe Blanche is a Belgian Abbey take on the wheat beer style. It’s unfiltered giving you that classic wheat beer haze. The aroma is fruity and spicy, you’ll pick up those notes of orange peel, coriander, and vanilla like sweetness.

It’s a light, refreshing take on the style whilst still delivering massively on flavour. Definitely a fresh addition to the PerfectDraft wheat beer family!

  3. The original Leffe beer was a dark ale, but today there are a variety of Leffe beers available, including blonde, brown, and now Blanche!
  4. The name "Leffe" is thought to come from the Latin word "laeva", meaning "left". This is because the abbey was originally located on the left bank of the Meuse River.

Pairing Leffe Blanche with food

Appetisers: Leffe Blanche's slight tartness and hints of spice make it a great match for spicy appetisers. Pair it up with some buffalo wings, satay skewers or even chilli paneer. The beer's sweetness also helps to balance out the heat of the spices.

Salads: The light body and wheaty tart notes of Leffe Blanche make it a great match for fruit salads, green salads, or salads with grilled chicken or fish. The beer's sweetness helps to balance out the acidity of the fruits and vegetables, while its tartness adds a refreshing touch.

Desserts: Leffe Blanche's sweetness and hints of spice make it a great match for fruit desserts, pastry desserts, or desserts with chocolate. The classic wheat beer sweetness adds a complementary flavour. You will also notice the citrus notes will help to cut through the richness as well.
